Founded in 1900 by Ms. Janet Poulier, St. Lawrence’s Convent began as St. Lawrence’s School, inspired by the faith and example of Saint Lawrence. Guided by strong Catholic values, the school grew under the care of Rev. Fr. Robert Fernando O.M.I of St. Lawrence’s Church, Wellawatte, and later entrusted to the Congregation of the Good Shepherd Sisters. Committed to academic excellence and Catholic formation, it has reached many milestones in its journey. Today, St. Lawrence’s Convent continues to nurture young minds in faith, service, and love, faithful to its rich spiritual heritage.
