Young Catholic Students
The Young Catholic Students (YCS) Movement at St. Lawrence Convent is a vibrant, student-led initiative that nurtures personal growth, faith formation, and social responsibility within the Catholic tradition. Guided by the “See, Judge, Act” methodology, YCS encourages members to observe real-life situations, reflect on them through the lens of Gospel values, and take meaningful action to bring about positive change. The movement fosters critical thinking, leadership, and compassion while promoting a deep sense of justice and solidarity with the marginalized. Through prayer, reflection, and community outreach, YCS empowers students to live their faith actively and make a lasting impact in the world around them.
The Young Catholic Students (YCS) Movement is an international student-led organization committed to the personal development, faith formation, and social awareness of young people within the Catholic tradition. YCS encourages students to integrate Gospel values into their daily lives through the “See, Judge, Act” methodology. This approach helps members analyze real-life situations (see), reflect on them in light of Catholic teachings (judge), and take appropriate action (act) to foster positive change. The movement promotes critical thinking, leadership skills, social justice, and solidarity with marginalized communities.
